Es kommt oft vor, dass Jugendliche ohne jeglichen Grund traurig sind. Sie haben auf gar nichts Lust. Sie sehen die Welt schwer und grau. Depressive Verstimmungen fühlen sich an wie ein dunkler Nebel. Besonders in der Jugend, wenn sowieso viel passiert. Schule, Gefühle, Druck – alles mischt sich. Wichtig: Das ist kein „nur schlecht drauf sein“. Es ist mehr. Man sollte es auf jeden Fall ernst nehmen. Es gibt jedoch Schritte, wie man depressive Verstimmungen den Kampf ansagen kann. Mehr dazu in diesem Beitrag.
Gefühle zulassen
Wichtig ist, dass man Gefühle zulässt. Man muss nicht immer stark sein. Man muss auch nicht immer freundlich sein und lächeln, wenn man sich Innen leer fühlt. Gefühle dürfen da sein. Auch, wenn sie nicht zu schön sind, muss man lernen, damit umzugehen. Viele versuchen, alles zu verstecken. Sie haben Angst, dass sie komisch wirken. Oder weil sie denken, sie müssten „funktionieren“. Aber: Unterdrückte Gefühle verschwinden nicht. Das Gegenteil ist hier der Fall, denn sie stauen sich. Es hilft, traurig zu sein – ehrlich. Zu weinen, zu schreiben, zu reden. Es ist alles besser als einfach zu schweigen. Denn was rauskommt, kann leichter werden.
Bewegung und Struktur
Auch hierbei handelt es sich um einen sehr wichtigen Punkt, auch, wenn er sich vielleicht etwas komisch anhört. Bewegung kann wirklich eine große Hilfe sein. Zwar ist Sport oder Bewegung jetzt keine Wunderlösung, doch könnten sie als kleiner Lichtblick dienen. Spazieren gehen, tanzen, Fahrrad fahren – es handelt sich dabei um Sportarten, die beruhigen. Außerdem kann man auch noch Spaß dabei haben. Der Körper beeinflusst die Stimmung. Auch ein bisschen Struktur im Alltag kann helfen. Aufstehen, essen, frische Luft, kleine Aufgaben. Es muss nichts Großes sein. Nur ein paar feste Punkte am Tag können helfen. Das schafft Halt und zeigt: Ich kann noch was steuern – auch wenn's schwerfällt.
Hilfe annehmen
Man muss nicht alles allein schaffen. Gerade bei dunklen Gedanken ist Hilfe wichtig. Ein Gespräch mit einer vertrauten Person kann schon viel verändern. Lehrer, Eltern, Beratungsstellen – es gibt mittlerweile sehr viele unterschiedliche Anlaufstellen. Auch anonym, wenn es leichter ist. Therapie ist keine Schwäche, sondern ein mutiger Schritt. Es zeigt: Ich kümmere mich um mich. Und das ist stark. Denn niemand verdient es, im Dunkeln stecken zu bleiben.
