Manchmal fühlt es sich an, als würde man aneinander vorbeireden. Doch liebt man sich doch! Was kann der Grund dafür sein? Der Grund ist, dass jeder seine Liebe auf eine andere Art und Weise ausdrückt. Während die eine Person Blumen schenkt, möchte die andere vielleicht einfach mehr gemeinsame Zeit verbringen. Es ist wichtig, dass man die Sprache des Partners kennt. So können Missverständnisse vermieden werden. Wer die Sprache seines Partners erkennt, kann die Beziehung um einiges vertiefen.
Manchmal lieben sich zwei Menschen – und trotzdem entstehen Missverständnisse. Ein Partner fühlt sich nicht gesehen oder nicht wertgeschätzt, obwohl der andere sich Mühe gibt. Der Grund kann sein, dass Menschen Liebe auf unterschiedliche Weise ausdrücken. Der Paartherapeut Gary Chapman beschreibt dieses Konzept als die fünf Sprachen der Liebe.
Die Theorie besagt, dass Menschen Zuneigung vor allem auf fünf Arten zeigen: durch Worte der Anerkennung, gemeinsame Zeit, Geschenke, Hilfsbereitschaft und körperliche Nähe. Jeder Mensch hat meist eine bevorzugte Liebessprache. Wenn Partner unterschiedliche Sprachen sprechen, kann es passieren, dass Liebe zwar gezeigt wird – aber nicht so ankommt, wie sie gemeint ist.
