Wie beeinflusst Sport das Gehirn?
Bewegung wirkt direkt auf das Gehirn. Durch Sport wird die Ausschüttung von Dopamin und Serotonin gefördert. Diese Botenstoffe helfen, sich besser zu konzentrieren und entspannter zu sein. Außerdem reduziert Sport Stress und verbessert die Stimmung. Auch das Gedächtnis wird durch regelmäßige gestärkt. Ebenfalls ist es wichtig zu wissen, dass die Impulse durch ausreichend Bewegung besser kontrolliert werden können. Betreibt man Sport, fühlt man sich gleichzeitig ausgeglichener. Genau aus diesen Gründen wird Bewegung oft als Teil der ADHS-Therapie empfohlen.
Welche Sportarten helfen am besten?
Nicht alle Sportarten eignen sich bei ADHS gleich gut. Am besten eignen sich Aktivitäten mit klaren Regeln. Auch sollte ein Sport gewählt werden, bei welchen man viel in Bewegung ist. Teamsport wie Fußball oder Basketball fördert zum Beispiel die soziale Interaktion. Beim Kampfsport werden wiederum die Disziplin und Konzentration gefördert. Beruhigende Sportarten sind Laufen und Schwimmen. Wer die Koordination verbessert möchte, sollte Sportarten wie Klettern oder Tanzen auswählen. Am wichtigsten ist es immer, dass man Spaß dabei hat, denn nur dann bleibt man auch langfristig dran.
Bewegung im Alltag integrieren
Sport muss nicht nur im Verein stattfinden. Bereits kleine Bewegungen können täglich ausreichen. Einfache Möglichkeiten sind zum Beispiel:
Kurze Sporteinheiten zu Hause oder in der Schule bringen mehr Energie und Konzentration. Bewegungspausen im Alltag sind besonders wichtig. Selbst fünf Minuten Tanzen oder Seilspringen machen einen Unterschied. Wichtig ist, Bewegung regelmäßig einzuplanen. Nur dann kann sich die Wirkung auch voll entfalten. Es ist auch nicht notwendig jeden Tag, Sport zu treiben, auch 3 bis 4 mal in der Woche sind ausreichend.
